Sorry things didn't play out as you had hoped with your applications.
We don't offer a specific "ding analysis" - for people who didn't use ApplicantLab to prepare their applications, our advice is to, instead of paying someone else a ton of money for a "Ding Analysis" service, sign up for the Lab and go through our advice - doing so usually helps clarify where your applications could have been stronger (and will also get you started on prepping for NEXT year if you plan to reapply).
Reasons for getting dinged are typically one of the following:
- Your overall story was weak/didn't make sense
- Your resume didn't present your leadership ability/potential
- Your stats were below what the school would consider to be competitive
- Your essays didn't effectively convey your story/leadership potential
ApplicantLab will help you identify which of these scenarios applied to you and provide you with the information you need to make adjustments for next year.
As you start prepping for next year, if you want individual feedback/support, we do offer that. Our Sanity Checks are Step 1 in getting 1:1 help and will give you feedback on whether your overall "story" makes sense and your resume is strong.
. . . From there you'll be able to book strategic essay reviews to make sure that THOSE are also as strong as possible (and it will make more sense to do this for NEXT year's essays than for the one's that you already submitted).
If you do book a Sanity Check, be sure to provide the context to your consultant that you applied previously (and to what programs) and what your outcome at each was (invited to interview/not).
We've found that the combo of self-reflection on past applications and then helping you focus on prepping your strongest apps for next year is more effective and MUCH more cost efficient than having someone review your past materials!
